HeForShe is a campaign started by UN Women, a UN organization dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women. An international effort dedicated to women and girls, UN Women was established to advance the visibility of women and girls worldwide in an effort to raise awareness and interest in their needs.
IFWA founder Gilles Montezin joined the social media campaign with this video, drawing attention to the imbalance of women in the arts and the need to remedy this inequality. As part of the HeForShe Campaign, Gilles takes on the responsibility to reduce discrimination against women in the art and cultural industry worldwide. The IFWA advocates for improving the conditions of women artists and their work, increasing their income and visibility, as well as creating a united network of women artists to provide a more productive culture and stronger economic conditions for women artists.
