About Rachelle:
Dr. Rachelle Kernen holds a B.S. in Geology from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and a M.S. in Geology from New Mexico State University (Institute of Tectonics Research Consortium). Rachelle recently finished her PhD in geology at the University of Texas at El Paso (Salt-Sediment Interaction Research Consortium). Rachelle is passionate about the Energy Transition and Diversity-Equity-Inclusion (DEI) where she is actively volunteering to change and re-shape the AAPG organization as being Co-Chair of the Women’s Network and Co-Founder of the Salt Basins Technical Interest Group (TIG). Rachelle is currently an Honorary Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Adelaide Australian School of Petroleum and Energy Resources.
