I’m Jan. Today, believe it or not, is Presidents’ Day the 15th of 2016. The day after Valentine’s day. Ahh, Gloria! Happy Valentine’s Day. And I can imagine myself being your lover. Seriously! Now …oops, hah hah, I took off my glasses but you see I have a couple of notes, and speaking about Gloria, and speaking about Gloria’s history of relationships …all I know is that she has had a long-term relationship …actually it was only a four-year relationship with a publisher Mortimer Zuckerman, and she was married at age 66 for just three years. That man died, and so here …regarding relationships, here’s a quote from her what’s called Brainy Quotes. I’ve got to admit I got that from Google, and so here’s her feeling, in a way, about relationships and it kind of mirrors my own very adversarial relationship with women, and that is:
“The surest way to be alone is to get married.”
Now that is a pretty rough, pretty rough assessment …hah hah, in some ways, I very much reflect that feeling myself. I’ve been out of a relationship for three years. I just got to show you. And we have an 800 billion dollar military industrial complex that I believe is almost …more than a third of the entire budget of the United States of America. It’s disgusting. Anyway, here’s a quote from Gloria:

I mean, it wonderful that you’re so assertive as men; it’s wonderful that you build businesses and that you …but you also build armies, and it’s time retreat and let the women, at least, have equal rights throughout the political system, throughout the economic system, throughout the judicial system, throughout the home, the household! And I think it’s time to lay the groundwork for a matriarchy that could develop over the next few hundred years.

But anyway, here’s a quote from Gloria and I’ve just got to say up front in case I didn’t bring it up …Gloria is a glorious woman. I, who have a …usually quite often, quite an adversarial relationship with men [women], can picture myself …as a mate, intellectually, emotionally and romantically with you Gloria. I know, I may be spinning my fantasy wheels but I do feel …I may not be your politically equal, but I don think that I’m your intellectual equal and also …well, I’m as much man as you are a woman.
And speaking about men and women hah hah, I …watched, by chance, an interview between Bill Maher on his HBO special in which he was interviewing Gloria. And she …and he asked her: “So what do you think about this upsurge of Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire winning over Hillary by 22 points?”
Well, you know, Gloria has …is an advocate for Hillary, feeling that …I mean she’s been a …kind of joined at the hip with Hillary for the last twenty years. They are both Midwesterners for one thing. I mean, Gloria is Jewish, by the way, but I think she’s only half, only her father, not her mother, or just the other way around. In my case, it’s my mother. My father is a WASP. I am from Denmark originally. So I am WASP and I’m a Jew, but because my mother is Jewish, you know, hah hah, I’m at least 75% Jewish. And I know she’s not fronting her Jewishness, and I am not either myself. I am …unfortunately, I am apolitical, and I’m really not …I have no religious feelings whatsoever. Any organized religion is of no interest. The only thing that interests me about Judaism is …is the cantor, the singing, which is really glorious and very feelingful.
