Since September 2015, Conscious Impact has been working in the community of Takure in the Sindhupalchok district of Nepal, a region where the April and May 2015 earthquakes left devastating effects.
Our mission is to inspire, mobilize and train volunteers to serve others with compassion. We create cross-cultural collaborations and a diverse environment to encourage selfless service. We share. We live and learn, together. We partner with local organizations to ensure that our programs are truly helpful, relevant and driven by local leadership from within the community.
Thanks to hundreds of volunteers and supporters from around the globe, we have completed the reconstruction of a local primary school, and are currently in the process of building a community center, a building for the local women’s microfinance cooperative, as well as a family home – all with labor and materials that are locally-sourced and environmentally sustainable while being earthquake-resistant.
