ABOUT THE FILMMAKERS:
Noir Tribe is a Los Angeles-based storytelling duo (Amber Moelter and Luis Barreto Carrillo) with a special interest in sustainable and transparent brands. Their fashion documentary Peyote Dreams won Best Documentary at the International Fashion Film Awards and Miami Fashion Film Festival. It was also nominated for Best Documentary at the London Fashion Film Awards and the Australian International Fashion Film Festival and screened at the Mexico Fashion Film Festival. Their work has been seen on Vogue Italia, Vogue Mexico, Elle Mexico, NYLON Español, and Harper’s Bazaar Bulgaria, and Harper’s Bazaar Brasil. Their fashion films have appeared at fashion film festivals in Cape Town, Berlin, Miami, La Jolla, Canada, Australia, Medellín, Lahore, Santiago, and Mexico.
Most recently the first two episodes of their fashion documentary ETHETICS (ethics+aesthetics) premiered at the BAFTA-Qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival and premiered online at Vogue Italia and are official selections of New York Fashion Film Festival, Mexico Fashion Film Festival, and Mercedes-Benz Bokeh South African Fashion Film Festival, where the films are nominated for Best Documentary, Best Cinematography and Best Fashion.
