It’s grim news, but did you know there are more slaves in the world today than anytime in history? Throughout South East Asia and the Pacific, there are thousands of women and children sold into sex slavery every year. Kids as young as 5 years old are ensnared by organised crime rings and coerced into a life of misery.

The good news is, there’s a group of Kiwis that are doing serious damage to these criminal networks. Nvader is a team of New Zealand cops and other professionals who use their skills to liberate women and children before placing them with local aftercare facilities where they can start rebuilding their lives.

The investigators infiltrate the heart of these operations, recording the illegal trade in human lives on covert cameras. These state-of-the-art cameras enable NVADER to get the high-quality footage necessary to facilitate freedom for the victims and prosecute those responsible.

This work has been phenomenally successful, with footage captured on one camera helping to liberate over 100 people from slavery. We’re pushing to raise $10k for two more cameras.
