“This house is going to become a tomb,” said Trudy Austin of Ocracoke Island. Trudy and her sister were nearly trapped in their home during the flooding of Hurricane Dorian, but escaped by smashing the front door and swimming for higher ground. Thankfully, the women were able to survive, but their home was destroyed. Operation Blessing was able to help them start the rebuilding process and begin their lives again.
