TRIGGER WARNING: Sexual violence
“Mummy, why am I called Bluebell?” A small child’s innocent question triggers a chain of flashbacks which reveal the disturbing nature of her conception in the bluebell woods. A disquieting short, shot on 16mm film, which explores themes of loss of innocence and redemption.
Shot on 16mm, produced with support from BBC Bristol, Granada Media and Films@59. The script was short-listed for South West Screen Digital Shorts funding. Acquired by the BFI Film Archive and the University of Technology, Sydney, Library. 35mm print available.
