UN Women Egypt wanted to highlight the importance of women as an effective element of the workplace and their safety at work that must be ensured as a fundamental right by business owners and companies.

An awareness-raising initiative by the National Council for Women in partnership with the Ministry of Manpower, the Federation of Egyptian Industries, UN Women Egypt, and the International Labor Organization ILO Cairo, and in cooperation with USAID/Egypt, has yielded this compelling video that we were honored to produce, in hopes of shedding light on the harassment culture in Egypt and what women can do to amplify their voices and bring about change to guarantee safe work environments, and ultimately result in an increase in women’s participation in the Egyptian labor force.
