You may have seen these, UV lamps that are intended to treat the breakouts caused by acne. These interesting machines are part of a growing trend of mechanized treatments for various skin conditions. When it comes to skin conditions few are as common as acne and even fewer that require effective treatment, rapidly. For this reason consumers and manufacturers are turning to mechanized treatment to heal this and many other skin conditions. Consumers specialist warn against simply purchasing any of these acne lamps without serious consideration first, as many have proven ineffective. The author examines Acne Lamps and how they treat the skin, and advises consumers as to the most effective way to maximize treatment.

The basic explanation for who these acne lamps work is that they are made up of a series of Red and Blue bulbs that are magnified into the skin. The blue lamps or blue light penetrates deep in to the pimple causing the formation of bacteria in the skin. I know that this sounds counterproductive as most acne breakouts are as a result of bacteria, but this bacteria acts as an anti bacterial. This makes the likelihood of future breakouts much less probable. The red bulbs or red light penetrates the skin to eliminate inflammation or remove the redness and irritation common with acne breakouts. The two are designed to be used in combination to treat the acne both on a bacterial layer as well as treat the inflammation. This is a fantastic theory on how to treat acne, but this method does cause some concerns.

The treatment of acne is, in fact, best done when it is treated both on the bacterial layer of the breakout as well as on the surface layer, eliminating inflammation and redness. So as far as that is concerned these lamps are right on the money. The problem is that you are exposing your skin to UV rays to treat one skin condition and you are running the risk of causing an entirely new condition. UV rays can cause serious damage to the skin and even cause severe wrinkling and premature aging. It is in this regard that consumers need to be careful, it makes no sense to trade out acne problems for premature aging ones.

There are many ways to treat acne in this day and age without damaging the skin with UV rays and free radical causing chemical based products. The use of all natural ingredients such as Resveratrol has proven to be the most effective treatment for acne. It too treats skin by healing and eliminating bacteria within the skin, while a rick blend of anti oxidants soothes irritation. It accomplishes all that these acne lamps do, but without the exposure to UV rays. Everyone knows that UV rays and free radicals are cause for serious concern, at least when it comes to the health of your skin, and they should be avoided at all costs. Take the time to find yourself an effective acne treatment that neither damages your skin or causes premature aging, and you may find a winner. Quality acne products start with quality acne fighting ingredient and in no way shape or form, should these products recommend that you risk your skin’s overall health, just to treat acne.
